Musa was the Mauretanian court physician of the Roman Empire during the reign of Augustus in the 20s AD. In 23 BC, he attempted to care for Marcus Claudius Marcellus, who was secretly poisoned by Empress Livia, and he was shocked when Livia did not seek to give him any medical attention. He later discovered that he died from something similar to food poisoning, but Livia declined to open an inquest, saying that Musa already stated how he died.
