Murrah ibn Ka'b (333-393) was the father of Kilab ibn Murrah and an ancestor of Muhammad.
Biography[]
Murrah ibn Ka'b was born in Mecca to the Hashimid clan in 333. He was a wealthy merchant, and started a dynasty of merchants that would later extend down to the caliphs Muhammad and Ali ibn Abu Talib, and the Hashimids (now called the "Hashemites") ruled over Hejaz until 1918, Iraq from 1921 to 1958, and Jordan from 1918 onwards.
