Murong Tuyuhun (260-317) was Khan of Tuyuhun from 284 to 317, preceding Murong Tuyan. The elder son of Chanyu Murong Shegui of the Xianbei and the older brother of Former Yan's ancestor Murong Hui, Tuyuhun took his people from their original settlements on the Liaodong Peninsula to the Yin Mountains, crossing the Yellow River between 307 and 313 and entering Qinghai. He subjugated the native Qiang peoples, and he died in Linxia, Gansu in 317, leaving his new empire to his son Tuyan. The "Tuyuhun" empire was named for him.
