Muhammad Ahmed al-Munawar

Muhammad Ahmed al-Munawar (21 May 1965-) was a member of the Abu Nidal Organization and one of the perpetrators of the hijacking of Pan Am Flight 73 in 1986.

Biography[]

Muhammad Ahmed al-Munawar was born in Kuwait on 21 May 1965 to a family of Palestinians, and he became a member of the Abu Nidal Organization. In 1986, he took part in the hijacking of Pan Am Flight 73 in Karachi, Pakistan, taking part in the massacre of the hostages before being captured by the Pakistani soldiers. al-Munawar escaped from Pakistani prison in 2008 and was believed to have gone into hiding in another Arab country, and he was believed to have citizenship in Lebanon.
