Muawwaz ibn Amr was a sahabi of Muhammad.
Biography[]
Muawwaz ibn Amr was the son of Amr ibn al-Jamuh and Hind, and Muawwaz was a secret convert to Islam. His household converted to Islam in 622 upon Mus'ab ibn 'Umair's arrival to convert the people of Medina, and Muawwaz and his brother Muaaz ibn Amr mortally wounded Abu Jahl at the Battle of Badr in 624.
