Muawiyah II (March 661-February 684) was Caliph from 683 to 684, succeeding Yazid I and preceding Marwan I.

Muawiyah was born in March 661, the son of Yazid I. He succeeded his father on his death in 683, but Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr claimed that he was the rightful heir to the Umayyad Caliphate and rebelled in Hejaz. He was forced to abdicate in 684, and he died soon after.
