
Muaaz ibn Amr was a sahabi of Muhammad.
Biography[]
Muaaz ibn Amr was the son of Amr ibn al-Jamuh and Hind, and he was the brother of Muawwaz ibn Amr. The brothers and their mother secretly converted to Islam in 622, and Amr would later convert to Islam as well. At the 624 Battle of Badr, it was Amr's sons who mortally wounded Quraysh leader Abu Jahl, known for his cruelty.
