
The Movement for Oneness and Jihad in West Africa (MOJWA) was a splinter group of al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb formed in October 2011. Its operations occurred in southern Algeria and northern Mali, and the group was led by Hamada Ould Mohamed Kheirou. In 2013, Mokhtar Belmokhtar's Masked Men Brigade left to form al-Mourabitoun.
