Mount Chiliad is one of three mountains in Blaine County, California. Mount Chiliad, whose name means "one thousand years" in Latin, is the tallest peak in the state at 2,619 feet tall, and the towns of Grapeseed and Paleto Bay sit at its base. The mountain is a popular destination for hardcore hikers, and it is served by a tramway that provides easy access to the peak.
