Moss Kent

Moss Kent (3 April 1766-30 May 1838) was a member of the US House of Representatives (F-NY 18) from 1813 to 1817, preceding David A. Ogden.

Biography[]

Moss Kent was born in Croton-on-Hudson, New York in 1766, and he became a lawyer in Cooperstown before serving in the State Senate from 1799 to 1803, in the State Assembly in 1807 in 1810, and in the US House of Representatives from 1813 to 1817. He went on to practice law in Plattsburgh, and he died in 1838.
