Moses Norris Jr.

Moses Norris Jr. (8 November 1799 – 11 January 1855) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-NH) from 4 March 1843 to 4 March 1847, succeeding Charles G. Atherton, and a US Senator from 4 March 1849 to 11 January 1855, succeeding Atherton and preceding John S. Wells.

Biography[]

Moses Norris Jr. was born in Pittsfield, New Hampshire in 1799, and he became a lawyer in Barnstead in 1832. He served in the state legislature before advancing to serve in the US House of Representatives from 1843 to 1847 and in the US Senate from 1849 to 1855. He died in office.
