Mordvins are a Finno-Ugric people who mainly live in the republic of Mordvinia, Russia. There are 843,350 Mordvins, mainly in Mordovia but also scattered across eastern Russia, with some living in Kazakhstan, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and the United States. Most are followers of the Russian Orthodox Church, while some are pagans, Lutheran, or Molokan "Spiritual Christians".
