
Moray is a county in northern Scotland, with Elgin serving as its capital. It borders Nairnshire to the west, Inverness-shire to the south, and Banffshire to the east. Over the centuries, Moray contracted to the area around Elgin, and the current region covers most of the historic county of Moray and Banffshire. In 2016, Moray had a population of 96,100 people.
