The Morales Cartel was a Mexican drug cartel that operated out of Los Toros during the 2000s. The cartel, led by Cesar Morales, was rivals with the Virgillo Cartel, and it went to war with the Virgillos in 2005. That same year, the cartel was infiltrated by DEA agent Ramiro Cruz, and Morales discovered his infiltration from corrupt DEA agent Frank Johnson, leading to the Morales Cartel ambushing and killing several DEA agents as they headed to Morales' meat factory. Morales was killed by Cruz in the ensuing shootout, and his cartel was destroyed.
