Flag of Montana

Montana is one of the fifty states of the United States, located in the Great Plains region of the American West; its capital is Helena, and it has a population of 1,032,049, the sixth least populated US state. Montana was established as a territory in 1864 out of the Idaho Territory, and the economy was driven by agriculture, including ranching and cereal grain farming. The territory was admitted to the union on 8 November 1889, the 41st state, and Montana is home to Glacier National Park, the site of the Battle of the Little Bighorn, and Yellowstone National Park.
