Monmouthshire is a county in south-east Wales, with Usk serving as its capital. The largest town is Abergavenny, while other major settlements include Caldicot, Chepstow, Monmouth, and Magor. Modern Monmouthshire has been reduced to the eastern 60% of the historic county, and it had a population of 92,800 people in 2016.
