
Momcilo Krajisnik (20 January 1945 – 15 September 2020) was the co-founder of the Serb Democratic Party in Bosnia and Herzegovina alongside Radovan Karadzic.
Biography[]
Momcilo Krajisnik was born in Sarajevo, Independent State of Croatia in 1945 to a family of Bosnian Serbs, and he became a League of Communists of Yugoslavia politician. Krajisnik co-founded the Serb Democratic Party with Radovan Karadzic and served as Speaker of the People's Assembly of Socialist Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1990 to 1992, Speaker of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska from 1991 to 1996, and the Serb Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina from 1996 to 1998. In 2006, the ICTY sentenced him to 20 years in prison for war crimes committed during the Bosnian War. He died of COVID-19 on 15 September 2020 at the age of 75.
