Mohammed Hussein Shammari (1958-11 March 1978), also known as Abu Hassan, was a Yemeni PLO member and one of the perpetrators of the Coastal Road massacre. He was known to be pious, taking part in five prayers each day, and he fell in love with a Palestinian woman named Fatima and was engaged to her when Khalil al-Wazir selected him to take part in a raid on Israel from South Lebanon in March 1978. During the raid, he broke his right foot, and he was gunned down by Israeli police.
