Mohammed Hussein

Mohammed Hussein () was the commander of the Bin Laden Front of the al-Nusra Front offshoot of al-Qaeda. Born in Syria, Hussein also fought in the Afghanistan War before fighting in the Syrian Civil War and founding the Bin Laden Front.

Biography[]

Mohammed Hussein was born in Syria to a Sunni Muslim family, and he headed to fight for jihad for the sake of Allah in Afghanistan in 2001 after Osama Bin Laden invited him. He fought in the Afghanistan War against ISAF and the government of Afghanistan, and he later returned to Syria. Hussein founded the Bin Laden Front during the Syrian Civil War, and pledged allegiance to the al-Nusra Front. Hussein trained several people, including young teenagers; interestingly, he had to direct them from crutches. His force fought the Syrian Arab Army outside Aleppo and in the Syrian countryside.
