
Mohamed Hychami (1993-18 August 2017) was an Islamic State sympathizer from Spain who was one of the perpetrators of the 2017 Barcelona attack.
Biography[]
Mohamed Hychami was a Muslim Spanish resident from Morocco, and he was the older brother of Omar Hychami. The two brothers became members of the Islamic State cell in Catalonia, Spain, and Hychami travelled to Zurich, Switzerland with fellow cell member Youssef Aallaa in 2017. On 18 August, the two brothers took part in a vehicle ramming and stabbing attack in Cambrils. Hychami, El Houssaine Abouyaaqoub, Said Aallaa, Omar Hychami, and Moussa Oukabir were killed by a nearby policeman after killing one person.
