Morris Sidwirtz (1894-1952), also known as Moe Sedway, was a Murder, Inc. hitman.
Biography[]
Morris Sidwirtz was born in 1894 in Congress Poland to a family of Polish Jews, and he later emigrated to the US city of New York City, becoming known as "Moe Sedway". He befriended Bugsy Siegel and Meyer Lansky, and he worked with Lansky in setting up gambling operations in Las Vegas, Nevada during the 1930s. In 1945, he helped in building the Flamingo Hotel, and he became very rich and powerful; Siegel planned to get rid of Sedway, but Siegel was murdered in 1947 by a sniper. Sedway died in Los Angeles, California in 1952.
