Mizuki Yanagi (1977-) was a Japanese woman who lived in Kabukicho, Tokyo during the 2000s. The long-lost sister of Akimoto Yanagi, she was unaware of their relationship, and Akimoto spent many years trying to woo her with money. Mizuki repeatedly used him for his money, leading to Akimoto contemplating suicide in 2005 and 2006. By 2009, however, they had gotten engaged and went on vacation to Okinawa, where, after a final argument, Mizuki revealed that they were long-lost siblings. Akimoto was initially shattered upon hearing the news, but he realized that, all along, he desired for Mizuki to be his family, and the two celebrated and resolved to enjoy the rest of their vacation.
