Mitsunobu Kusao was a Japanese-American sugarcane plantation worker who lived in Hawaii during the 1950s. He participated in CPUSA-backed general strikes and protests during the leadup to the Hawaii Democratic Revolution of 1954, after which he became a Democrat.
