Mirror Face was a Japanese professional assassin. He acquired his nickname for his ability to imitate the appearances of his targets, including their musculature and voices. In 2019, Tokyo governor Ryo Aoki hired him to assassinate the imprisoned yakuza Jo Sawashiro with the help of Reiji Ishioda, but both men were defeated in a fight with Ichiban Kasuga before they could do so, even as Mirror Face impersonated Kasuga's friend Koichi Adachi. Mirror Face was nearly killed when Yosuke Tendo detonated a bomb that killed Ishioda, causing him to desire revenge against Tendo and Aoki. He accompanied Kasuga to Kabukicho, Tokyo and impersonated Tendo during a meeting with Aoki, who told him of the need to brutally destroy his enemies. Kasuga's friends secretly recorded the encounter and published it online, ruining Aoki's reputation and inadvertently resulting in his murder by disillusioned supporter Sota Kume.
