The Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party (DFL) is a liberal political party in the US state of Minnesota which was founded on 15 April 1944 as a merger between the US Democratic Party and Farmer-Labor Party. The DFL left its social democratic roots to become a social liberal party, and it, along with the North Dakota Democratic-Nonpartisan League Party, was one of just two state Democratic party affiliates not to be named the "(state name) Democratic Party".
