Milo Goodrich

Milo Goodrich (3 January 1814-15 April 1881) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-NY 26) from 4 March 1871 to 3 March 1873, succeeding Giles W. Hotchkiss and preceding William H. Lamport.

Biography[]

Milo Goodrich was born in East Homer, Cortland County, New York in 1814, and he moved to Cortlandville in 1816. He practiced law in Beloit, Wisconsin from 1840 to 1842, and he settled in Dryden, Tompkins County, New York in 1844. Goodrich served as Postmaster of Dryden from 1849 to 1853 and in the US House of Representatives from 1871 to 1873, and he died in 1881. He was the great-great-great-grandfather of Secretary of Education Arne Duncan.
