
Milenko Esteban Skoknic Tapia (9 February 1954-) is a Chilean diplomat who served as Ambassador to Argentina from 2010 to 2014 (succeeding Adolfo Zaldivar and preceding Marcelo Diaz) and Ambassador to the United Nations from 19 April 2018 (succeeding Cristian Barros).
Biography[]
Milenko Esteban Skoknic Tapia was born in Chile in 1954, and he played for the national basketball team from 1972 to 1977 before completing his law studies in 1977 and entering the Diplomacy Academy in 1979, where he was awarded for being the best student in the class. He went on to serve as Ambassador to Austria, Slovenia, and Slovakia from 2005 to 2010, as Ambassador to Argentina from 2010 to 2014, Consul General in Bolivia from 2014 to 2016, and Ambassador to the United Nations from 2018.
