Mikio Aragaki

Mikio Aragaki (1976-) was an Okinawan yakuza who was affiliated with the Ryudo-ikka family.

Biography[]

Mikio Aragaki was born in Naha, Okinawa, Japan in 1976, and he became a member of the Ryudo-ikka yakuza family at a young age. He was close friends with Captain Rikiya Shimabukuro, often partnering with him to carry out their boss Shigeru Nakahara's orders. He was well-respected among Naha's locals, and, while he and Rikiya were initially sent by Nakahara to evict Kazuma Kiryu and his wards from the Morning Glory Orphanage to clear the land for a resort construction project in 2007, they would befriend Kiryu after Kiryu persuaded their boss not to go ahead with the eviction. Aragaki and Rikiya became uncle figures to the children at Morning Glory Orphanage, which they frequented. Mikio built a dog house for Izumi Aizawa, to whom he was especially close, and, when the Tamashiro-gumi came to the orphanage in 2009 to destroy the building, Aragaki shielded Izumi's dog house with his body, and was thus critically injured by a yakuza who smashed him and the house with a sledgehammer. Mikio ultimately pulled through in spite of the severity of his head injury.
