Mikhail Sergev was the Russian ambassador to Hungary during the 2010s. In 2018, he met with SVR agent Dominika Egorova after she demanded to see him during her arrest for the murder of fellow SVR agent Sergei Matorin, and she told him to call Colonel Zakharov and reveal that she knew who the mole in the SVR was. He offered to tell Zakharov for her, but she instead told him to make a spy swap: her for the SVR mole.
