Mike Powell (5 May 1916-1981) was an American lieutenant and agent of the OSS during World War II. Powell was sent to different parts of the world, where the Nazi presence was powerful, with the intention of sabotaging and obtaining information behind enemy lines. He participated in the Normandy Invasion of 1944, and his actions had a significant effect on the advance of troops during the Liberation of France.
Powell received several medals of honor from the US Army, and became known as a war hero. He continued to operate as an OSS agent even after the end of the war, and he participated in some obscure missions in Cuba during the Cold War. He later became head of CIA operations for some time, until he retired and spent his last years with his family.
