Mike Brody (1919-August 1945) was the leader of the Bowery Gang of Little Italy, New York City during the 1940s. Brody, born to a family of Irish descent, was raised in The Bowery neighborhood of Manhattan, and he took part in small-time heists with his crew, including future mafioso Aldo Trapani. In 1945, he was bludgeoned to death with a tire iron by Corleone crime family mobster Luca Brasi as he beat up Trapani for complaining about his cut from a heist. Brasi then recruited Trapani into the Corleone family.
