Midylos the Tamed (died 424 BC) was a Greek mercenary who was active during the Peloponnesian War.
Biography[]
Midylos the Tamed used to brawl with the most dangerous men he could find. But children and grandchildren have a way of softening one's edges; he became genial very quickly after that.
In 424 BC, Midylos the Tamed impersonated an officer and sent young soldiers to their deaths for his own contracts. As a result, a bounty was posted for his death, and the mercenary Kassandra tracked him down to the Attica countryside, ambushed him, and killed him after a short fight.
