Midtown Manhattan represents the central lengthwise portion of the New York City borough of Manhattan. Midtown is home to the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, the United Nations headquarters, Broadway, and Times Square. Midtown is the largest central business district in the world, and Fifth Avenue has the world's highest retail rents at $3,000 per square foot. Midtown is home to the majority of New York's skyscrapers (including its tallest hotels and apartment towers), and it is populated by many tourists, visiting residents, and students.
