
Michael Patrick O'Connor (29 September 1831-26 April 1881) was a member of the US House of Representatives (D-SC 2) from 4 March 1879 to 26 April 1881, succeeding Richard H. Cain and preceding Edward W.M. Mackey.
Biography[]
Michael Patrick O'Connor was born in Beaufort, South Carolina in 1831, and he practiced law in Charleston before serving as a Confederate artilleryman during the American Civil War. O'Connor served in the state house from 1858 to 1866 and in the US House of Representatives from 1879 until his death in 1881.
