Michael Joseph Keane (May 16, 1980-June 1, 2008) was an enforcer for the McReary crime family of New York City's Irish Mob. Keane was one of the lieutenants of Irish mob boss Gerald McReary, having been introduced to him by his brother Patrick McReary. Keane was a faithful member of the family, and he was killed by gun club member Eugene Reaper during the Bank of Liberty robbery in 2008.

Keane's death
Michael Keane was born in Queens, New York City, New York, United States in 1980 to an Irish Catholic family; his fellow gangsters would constantly bother him by alleging that his parents were siblings, as they believed that Keane's low intellect resulted from a brother-sister (as Gordon Sargent described it, a "Cleopatra"-like family that came from generations of sibling marriages) marriage. Keane became involved with the McReary crime family during the early 2000s, and he was arrested for grand larceny in 2000 and for armed robbery in 2003, as he was suspected in a number of hijackings and robberies with the Irish Mob. In 2008, Keane took part in the Roosevelt Island waste management plant shootout, killing several Ancelotti crime family enforcers, and he was also recruited for the Bank of Liberty robbery. During the robbery, Keane was shot by gun club member Eugene Reaper, who was among the hostages. Keane died on the spot, and his share of $250,000 was given to his family.
