The MiG-15 was a jet fighter aircraft developed by Mikoyan-Gurevich from 30 December 1947 onwards. It saw service with the Soviet Air Force and Soviet allies during the Cold War, and "Mig Alley" in North Korea gained its nickname from the dogfights between NK MiG-15s and United States planes during the Korean War. Over 18,000 MiG-15s have been produced, the most-produced jet fighter in history.
