Meurig ap Tewdrig (596-665) was King of Gliwissig from 645 to 665, succeeding Tewdrig and preceding Athrwys ap Meurig.


Meurig ap Tewdrig was born in 596, the son of Saint Tewdrig. He assumed the throne of Gliwissig on his father's abdication, and, in 650, he inherited Ergyng by marrying Onbraust ferch Gwrgant, the daughter of Ergyng's last king Gwrgan Fawr. He became a great patron of the ecclesiastical center of Llandaff, where he was buried on his death in 665.
