
Met-su-khons User-t (91 BC-) was an Egyptian farmer and rebel leader during the 1st century BC.
Biography[]
Met-su-khons User-t was born in Philadelphia, Faiyum, Ptolemaic Egypt in 91 BC. In 48 BC, he was harassed for grain by Captain Andronikos Miskilis, but the official Khenut warned Miskilis that she would report his behavior to his commander, causing him to ceaes his bullying. Later that day, the medjay Bayek came to Met-su-khons' farm and attempted to recruit him to gather the people for an uprising against the Greeks. Met-su-khons initially declined, but, after Bayek helped him light his farm pyres and told him that he had slain the Captain, Met-su-khons volunteered to rouse the Egyptians and lead an uprising. This soon turned into the Battle of Faiyum, which freed the region of Ptolemaic control.
