A group of mestizo activists
Mestizo is a term to refer to people of mixed Spanish and Native American descent in Spain and Latin America. Mestizos make up the majority group of several Latin American countries (especially in Central America), and they are descended from the Spanish colonists and the local native populations. Most mestizos today are Catholic, but some are also Protestant, atheist, or animist.
