Menawa (1758-) was a Cherokee war chief from Clayhatchee, Alabama. In 1784, he led his warband into Spanish Florida and terrorized the Panhandle region, burning down several plantations and towns. In 1785, he returned to the Cherokee heartland after Barboncito reported the movement of Spanish Army units towards the Cherokee capital of Autiamique, and, in the winter of 1786, Menawa and his warband defeated and slaughtered the Garrocho Expedition just north of Autiamique.
