The Medician Army was the land warfare branch of the Fortias Armate Medicense (FAM), the armed forces of the Republic of Medici. The Medician Army was armed by the United States and its allies during and after the Cold War; the American-made Bushmaster ACR assault rifle and M60 light machine-gun and the Israeli-made IMI Galil assault rifle were included in its inventory, as were the American-made AH-64 Apache, Sikorsky CH-53E Super Stallion, and the Sikorsky S-97 Raider attack helicopters. During the dictatorship of Sebastiano Di Ravello, which lasted from 1986 to 2014, the Medician Army and the FAM's other branches were frequently deployed to suppress the democratic opposition. In 2015, the Medician Civil War resulted in the overthrow of Di Ravello and the destruction of much of Medici's military capabilities, and the military underwent democratization and downsizing as a result of Liberar Salrosa's victory.
