
Mayor Uzur of Daraa (1223-) was a noble of the Qutuzid Sultanate.
Biography[]
Uzur was born in 1223 to a lowborn family of Sunni Muslim Cumans, and he was enslaved as a boy. He became a mamluk slave soldier, and he was enfeoffed as the mayor of Daraa in present-day Syria by Sultan Qutuz of the Qutuzid Sultanate, ruled by Mamluks. In 1260, the Ilkhanate sacked Daraa after an assault.
