Mayor Sencer of Rasht (1048-) was the Grand Vizier of the Seljuk Empire under Sultan Malik Shah, succeeding Mayor Boru of Areni.
Biography[]
Mayor Sencer of Rasht was born in 1048 to a Sunni Muslim Turkish family. He was appointed as the Grand Vizier of the Seljuk Empire after the death of Mayor Boru of Areni in 1077, and he led troops in Azerbaijan during the suppression of an Azerbaijani peasant revolt.
