
OrdenMarschall Maximillian (1220-1272) was the OrdenMarschall (Marshal) of the Knights Teutonic from 1250 until his death in 1272. The second-in-command to Gunther the Chivalrous, he was loyal and a good commander, while lacking in chivalry and dread.
Biography[]
Maximillian served as the second-in-command (OrdenMarschall) of the Teutonic Order's leader Gunther von Wullersleben. A loyal and good commander, he had no chivalry or piety; while a bastion of blasphemy, he was neither noble nor nefarious.
In 1272, he was besieged in the village of Olysta by the Grand Duke of Novgorod, Alexander Nevski. He was forced to fight 441 men with only 28 men, and he as killed in the attack.
