Maximilian von Edelsheim (6 June 1897 – 26 April 1994) was a General der Panzertruppe of Nazi Germany during World War II.
Biography[]
Maximilian von Edelsheim was born on 6 June 1897 in Berlin, German Empire. Edelsheim served in the Imperial German Army during World War I with the Uhlans, and he served in the Freikorps and Reichswehr after the war's end. During World War II, he commanded the German XXXXVIII Army Corps and fought on the Eastern Front against the Soviet Union, including the Battle of Turda on 5 September-8 October 1944. He died in 1994 at the age of 96.
