Maurice Lavaud (1766-5 May 1789) was a French guard in the city of Versailles, France on the eve of the French Revolution. On 5 May 1789, he confronted Arno Dorian after Dorian looted a treasure chest in front of a church in Saint-Louis, and Dorian killed him and another guard.
