Matthew Peters (1730-1770) was a privateer in the service of Great Britain during the Seven Years' War.
Biography[]
Matthew Peters was a crew member of the "Morrigan", a modified ship loyal to Great Britain and the Templar Order. In May 1754, when an Assassin Order ship failed to board Captain Shay Cormac's "Morrigan", Peters was made the new captain of the ship and was sent to Cormac's fleet. Matthew sailed with Cormac throughout the duration of the war until 1763 year in which it became in effect a member of the Order of the Templars. In 1770 in Boston the Templars wanted to trigger an uprising against the government and Matthew was commissioned by Grand Master Haytham Kenway to fire a shot blanks from a roof. Matthew came on a roof and from there was about to fire when he was slain by Ratonhnhaké:ton with his tomahawk.
