Biography[]
Matt Dillon was born in Texas, and he had an adventurous and sometimes nomadic lifestyle for several years, working as a bounty hunter and a bare-knuckle prize fighter, serving in the US Army, and being a compulsive gambler. However, he later became a deputy sheriff in San Antonio, and he later left this position to become a US Marshal in Dodge City, Kansas. Dillon was known to be steadfast, honest, absolutely incorruptible, fair, impartial, and dedicated to genuine law and order. Dillon served as a US Marshal for several years, and he was shot no less than 56 times, knocked unconscious 29 times, stabbed thrice, and poisoned once, surviving each time. Dillon had several loves in his life, but his life was made difficult due to his risky job, and by the emotional harm done to him by seeing many people around him be killed.
