Masoud Tabrizi (?-?) was an Iranian travel agent and Mossad agent who was based in Tehran during the 2020s. In 2020, he was assigned to help the undercover Mossad agent Tamar Rabinyan hack Iran's air defense networks to help the Israeli Air Force target Iran's nuclear reactors, but his murder of Jila Gorbanifar's husband Gheysar to preserve Tamar's cover led to Tamar cutting off contact and Tabrizi working with Mossad to track her down and extract her.
Biography[]
Helping Mossad[]
Masoud Tabrizi was born in Iran, and he became a travel agent in Tehran, founding Tabrizi Tours. Using the codename "the Eagle", he later became a Mossad contact due to his pro-democracy views, and, in 2020, he helped the Israeli agent Tamar Rabinyan with her attempted hack of the electric company's servers in a bid to help her destroy the government's anti-air networks and allow for the Israeli Air Force to destroy several Iranian nuclear reactors. He met her for the first time when he found her standing over the body of Jila Gorbanifar's boss, whom Tamar had inadvertently killed after he tried to rape her. He later warned her to leave the building after the body was discovered, but she repeatedly ignored his warnings, forcing him to wait outside and warn her superiors that they might have to brace for the worst. Tabrizi was then ordered to save Rabinyan by going to Gorbanifar's apartment and shooting her husband dead, framing it as if it was a suicide and leaving behind a suicide note which made it seem as if Gheysar Gorbanifar had shot Jila's boss before killing himself; Mossad decided to sacrifice Gheysar and thus protect Tamar's cover.
Tracking Tamar[]
While he later helped plan Tamar's escape from police custody at her apartment, Masoud lost contact with Tamar, who decided that he could not be trusted due to his bad intel and his murder of Gheysar. Tabrizi worked with Jila's handler Yael Kadosh to track Jila down, searching for her aunt Arezoo and her uncle Dariush, and later being alerted of her meeting with the Iranian hacker "Sickboy". Meanwhile, IRGC counter-intelligence chief Faraz Kamali assigned two teams to follow Tabrizi after reviewing security camera footage of the electric company and discovering Tabrizi Tours' logo on the side of a car which had been at both the electric company and the Gorbaniar family home on the night of the murder of Jila's boss.
