Mark Levine VA

Mark Levine (born 7 May 1966) was a member of the Virginia House of Delegates (D-45) from 13 January 2016 to 12 January 2022, succeeding Rob Krupicka and preceding Elizabeth Bennett-Parker.

Biography[]

Mark Levine was born in Nashville, Tennessee in 1966, and he worked as a Jewish historian and Nazi hunter before becoming an attorney in Los Angeles and distinguishing himself as a gay rights advocate. He challenged Bush v. Gore, served as legislative counsel to Democratic congressman Barney Frank, and became a progressive talk radio host in Leesburg, Virginia. Levine went on to serve in the House of Delegates from 2016 to 2022, when he lost renomination.
